HEART RATE ZONE,

MOBILITY, & STRENGTH TRAINING

At Armor Fitness, our workout is based on heart rate zone training. The key to a great workout is to get your heart rate right at the top of zone 3 (about 85% of Max Heart Rate) and keep it there while you perform exercises that improve mobility, improves posture, and strengthen your body. The goal is to look and feel your best, from the inside-out (heart/cardio system-body/smile).

DOES YOUR WORKOUT CHECK OUT?

Your Workout Should Check 3 Boxes

Improve what the scale and mirror says.

Leave you feeling better after the workout.

Feel better 20 years from now because of it.

The Armor Fitness way will check all those boxes, is science based, results driven, and you’ll be glad you joined 20 years from now.

01
CARDIO WARM-UP

Strap on your Heart Rate Monitor - Phase 1 is to get your heart rate up to the line between Zone 3 and 4, based on max heart rate. We utilize rowers and elliptical striders, because they are the most effective AND safest for the knees and low back.

02
MOBILITY & STABILITY

When your heart rate is up, we step off the cardio machines and do stretches and stability exercises to help your body move better during your workout and improve posture for the rest of your life.

03
CARDIO RE-UP

Phase 3 is to get your heart rate back up to the line between Zone 3 and Zone 4. Your heart rate monitor, worn during class, will uniquely tell you just how hard to push to reach that zone and stay in it.

04
STRENGTH TRAINING

With your heart rate back in the optimal zone, it’s time to train strength. We chose the most functional, full-body exercises that spare the joints (especially knees, shoulders and back). You will use TRX bands and free weights for this power-packed strength phase.

BOOST METABOLISM

Metabolism is the body’s process of changing food and drink into energy. Strength training in the right Zone of Max Heart Rate boosts your metabolism, so you don’t store as much of that energy as fat.

BURN FAT & CALORIES

The best workout will not only burn a lot of calories during, but continue to burn calories and stored fat after the workout. Through heart rate monitoring, your heart will tell you and your coach exactly how to get you the best results!

BUILD STRENGTH

Strength is the combination of power and comfort. If you stand barefoot on gravel you cannot jump as high, because it hurts. At Armor Fitness, we focus on protecting your joints while we strength train, promoting joint health & healing.

DON’T HURT YOURSELF

We chose strider over treadmill. Your knees will thank you for it 20 years from now. We teach you how to lift, bend and row safely. Your back will thank you for it 20 years from now. Enjoy the workout, we’ve got safety built in!

High-energy cardio exercises boost heart health and stamina. Regular participation lowers blood pressure, improves circulation, and enhances oxygen delivery to muscles, increasing energy levels and overall performance throughout the day.

BURN CALORIES
EFFECIENTLY

High-intensity exercises elevate metabolism, allowing continued calorie burn after the workout ends due to the afterburn effect. This efficient process helps you achieve weight loss and fitness goals faster and more effectively.
